Right after i hit reply on the last post i made i remembered something i read on another forum somewhere. It was a story written by a guy asking for advice.

It's pretty heavily implied all the female side characters should have seen what's coming, I mean the "subliminal" ads in the movie are hilariously obvious (usually intentionally) to the point where only a fool or a brainwashed person wouldn't notice.
